How Often Should I Change My Toothbrush?

When it comes to practicing good oral hygiene, there are multiple steps you can take. 1: How often should I change my manual toothbrush?

According to the CDC, you should swap out your old toothbrush for a new one every three to four months. Over time, the bristles on your toothbrush become frayed and worn down. This means they will not adequately brush away debris and plaque on your teeth. Brushing your teeth for an extended time with frayed bristles puts you at risk for gum disease and tooth decay.
